The Granary Cottage holiday accommodation on the Isle of Wight

HOW TO FIND US
On arrival follow the signs to Newport and then to Carisbrooke Castle.
On reaching the mini roundabout to the castle take the road leading to Gatcombe (Whitcombe Road) and proceed for approximately half a mile, looking out for Froglands Lane which is on the second bend in the road on the right hand side. (Don't lose sight of the castle)
At the end of this lane, you will arrive at the farm. "Don't use Sat Nav or it will take you through a deep ford!"

Situated in the heart of the Island overlooking Carisbrooke and the beautiful Bowcombe valley.
There are extensive walks from the farm around the Castle, Clatterford streams and the beginning of the Tennyson trail which stretches from the farm to freshwater Bay. The Castle divides Froglands Farm
from Newport town which has many facilities, including a cinema, shops and swimming centre etc
and the main bus terminal. The beaches are never too far away and there is always something to do
or see at the many islands attractions..

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS
The Granary (sleeps 7+1). This unique semi detached conversion which is set in the middle of the farm

has its own entrance and parking with a good size garden.

The accommodation comprises of:

- Large kitchen diner and good sized garden room.
- One double bedroom with 4ft 6 French bed.
- Bathroom with shower/bath
- One en-suite bedroom with 5ft bed, 1st floor.
- One double bedroom with a pair of large size built in bunk beds.
- One single/double small bedroom with 4ft brass bed and handbasin.
- The lounge area offers large built in sofa with flatscreen Sky TV.
- Wi-fi internet facility available.
- Central heating throughout plus even a small modern woodburner for winter use in the garden room.

Sorry but we cannot accept dogs in the Granary. But we can take dogs in our Dairy.

Overall: The granary is very warm and modern. It has an attractive garden room, folding glazed doors opening on to a secluded patio area with large gas BBQ where the whole family can enjoy patio breakfast.

Being a traditional cottage the stairways are small and steep and the different levels make this
accommodation quite unique. However there is wheelchair access at the front entrance.

For those of us who enjoy Aga cooking, this accommodation has the latest Everhot electric range with
adjoining gas hob. There is a small antique business which you should find very interesting and it is situated
on the north side where it enjoys the odd customer (believe me, some of them are really odd!) but this is
low key and should prove an asset to your holiday.

The Granary can accommodate 2-7 in comfort and can stretch to 8 if necessary.
We also have a games room available which offers "Pool", Darts, exercise machine and weights. Should you also have mobile friends we also have a picturesque little site for camper vans with up to 10 hook ups.

Prices include linen, towels, gas and electric and 10% off any Cowshed purchases whilst on holiday. We cannot accept dogs in the Granary. Alternative arrival days can be arranged for short or out of season breaks.

Bookings: Saturdays from 3.00pm - vacating the following Saturday by 10:00am please. A non-returnable deposit of £200 is required to secure a booking. the balance is requested 30 days prior to your stay.
